About the Palladium Eagle
The American Palladium Eagle, introduced in 2017, is the newest metal in the U.S. Mint's precious-metals program — one ounce of .9995 fine palladium.
Weinman, twice over
The coin pairs two designs by Adolph A. Weinman: the Winged Liberty ("Mercury") head from the beloved dime on the obverse, and an eagle from his 1907 medal on the reverse. Proof and reverse-proof issues are struck at West Point.
